Time to roll up your sleeves and get to work! Agriculture is central to the culture and economy of our region. Farm Family will reflect the positive role farm life plays in our community, what it's like to grow up on a family farm, and how agriculture in southern Minnesota impacts the world.
For Europeans immigrating to Minnesota, farming was a source of sustenance and a means to a better life. Today, the world benefits from many technological advances in agriculture production that come from right here in southern Minnesota. From daily chores, to supper around the kitchen table, to reaping harvest, life on the farm comes with many responsibilities. But it isn't all hard work, there's fun to be had for sure!
