Melting Ice | CMSMatHome

Let’s melt ice today with @CMSMatHome!

First, prepare by freezing clear water or water with some food coloring in ice cube trays or a variety of containers. Get a plastic bin, some utensils, and some cups and scoops.

Add some water into your plastic bin, then dump ice into the water and watch what happens. What happens to the ice when it sits in the water? Does it happen fast, or slow? Are there any changes if you stir the water? Does the size of your ice cube matter? Put some ice cubes on the concrete outside, into the grass, in the sunshine, or in the shade. Observe.
